, opening tonight, about their experience with this show, there is one word that is likely to come up again and again: F-U-N, FUN! Bright costumes, 1950’s big hair, rolled up jeans, a crooning Elvis-type, and of course, screaming girls, women, and even a few men keep the show fun and the laughs coming. Local theatre veteran Amy Lemon plays the lead role of Rosie in the production, an experience she says has been among her favorite on the stage. “I think this show has a really big generational appeal,” shares Lemon. “Anybody who grew up in the Elvis era and grew up with the movie will be drawn in but it also has kids and teens so it can appeal to anyone.” The music is something Lemon especially enjoys, saying it takes you right back into that era but that there is also something for everyone. “People should come because it is a guaranteed good time,” says Lemon. “The story is diverse and the quality is amazing. The cast is so strong and it’s an honor to be part of it.”
