Change can be hard and for many it is confusing so it’s not surprising that changes underway and coming up at the Vernal Regional Airport are causing a stir of confusion online. Airport administration has set out to clear up the confusion with the following information: SkyWest is partnered with United Airlines and will continue Vernal’s current scheduled service to and from Denver until January 31st. Starting October 31st, Redtail Air Adventures will provide Vernal with two flights per week, to and from Salt Lake City. It will land at Signature Air on the east side of the Salt Lake International Airport and will provide a shuttle to the commercial side. This service will be provided on a one year trial basis. SkyWest and Redtail will function at the same time and provide easy access to both Denver through SkyWest/United and Salt Lake City through Redtail Air Adventures. Starting February 1st, 2024, Contour Airlines will provide the Uintah Basin with service to and from Phoenix, AZ. Contour Airlines is partnered with American Airlines and provides hassle free connections to anywhere that American Airlines connects to out of Phoenix without the need to re-check your bags or purchase more than one ticket.
