Vernal Police Department is reminding the public to be on the lookout for KC the Dinosaur that was stolen from Kids Canal in November. This statue was beautifully painted like a reflection of the canal lined with large shade trees and was installed along the walking path just months before. The Uintah Special Service District 1 is in charge of the upkeep and maintenance of Kids Canal and service projects have spruced up the area for families to enjoy. When the popular new icon went missing, the administrators at Uintah Special Service District 1 made it clear that no one had permission to take dinosaur “KC” from his post on November 20th. Vernal Police Department made the call to the community this week to please contact their office at 435-789-5835 or Central Dispatch at 435-789-4222 with any information that would help in recovering KC.
