The Vernal Oilers have made history. Not only are they the USPHL Premier Regular Season Champions but they are the first ever undefeated team to do so with a 44 – 0 season record. The previous record was for 30 straight wins. What’s even more impressive is that the Oilers never even took a loss in overtime or a shootout. Oilers owner and General Manager, David Imonti, had some words to share in the announcement from USPHL Premier. “We are proud of what this group has accomplished thus far,” shares Imonti. “This is a special team that has bought into the goal of bringing home not only our third consecutive divisional championship, but a National Championship back to Oil Country in a few weeks…it will be exciting to see what they can accomplish as a group during the postseason.”
