Vernal Man Held On No Bail After Sending Nude Photo To Minor

A Vernal man is being held on no bail after allegedly sending a nude picture to a minor. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on September 10th, in Uintah County, Timothy Williams(d.o.b. 8/18/87) added a juvenile on Snapchat. After a conversation that started off normal, Williams allegedly sent, unprompted, a photograph of his unclothed penis to the minor. The victim confronted Williams, who denied intentionally sending the photograph to her. He attempted to apologize and blame Snapchat. On or about the same date, Williams sent an adult female a screenshot of the same photograph while attempting to defend how he inadvertently sent the photograph to the wrong person. Williams admitted to another person that he sent something he should not have. On September 12th, law enforcement made contact with Williams at his residence. He acknowledged being on the minor’s Snapchat page and admitted sending the nude photo on Snapchat, denying it was intended for the minor. 39-year-old Timothy Jadon Williams was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Distributing Material Harmful to a Minor and Misdemeanor Distribution of an Intimate Image.
