Big cities are out and cool rural towns are in when it comes to summer vacations. World Atlas ranked the 7 coolest Utah towns for a summer vacation and Vernal made the list. The feature calls Vernal a “quaint town” that takes visitors “a step back in time to the age of the dinosaurs.” Of course Dinosaur National Monument, the state parks, museums, and Fremont artifacts were all listed as worthy of the travelers exploration. The other “cool” towns on the list were Kamas, Midway, Heber City, Monticello, Kanab, and Garden City. WorldAtlas was launched in 1994 and is considered the original online geography resource.
