At this point most people are used to the construction along Vernal’s Highway 40 downtown but regardless, it’s time for a break from it. “Paving and temporary striping operations are complete, crews have removed traffic control and have suspended construction for the winter season,” shares Vernal City. “Work activities are projected to resume late February 2021.” The first phase of the project saw the installation of a storm drain bypass at 600 West and Main. The second phase installed a new storm drain under Main between 500 West to Vernal Avenue. Section 3 will extend the project from Vernal Avenue to 500 East.
