Another year of Vernal Excitement kicks off tonight with an evening of free entertainment and activities at the park in front of the Uintah County Library. Tonight’s entertainment will be the band ‘Defa, Locke & Aycock’ and the movie at dark will be Disney’s ‘Luca’. Vernal Excitement is all about bringing people out and getting them downtown to enjoy all Vernal has to offer. This starts with shopping at downtown businesses on Thursday and bringing the receipt to Vernal Excitement to be entered in prize drawing for downtown business gift cards. A different activity will be held every Thursday through July 14th. There will be entertainment and a movie each night. Another favorite part of Vernal Excitement is the Kids Market Place. All kids are invited to come and set up a booth to sell their items and make some money. The kids must be accompanied by an adult and the cutoff age is 16. Booths can be set up every Thursday during Vernal Excitement from 5:30 to 8pm.
