The Vernal Downtown Alliance has plenty to share in celebration with the community concerning happenings in downtown Vernal. The Alliance itself was named a Tier 2 Utah Main Street Affiliate Community that opens doors to helpful resources as downtown Vernal continues the revitalization process. The South Vernal Avenue project was honored as the 2024 Municipal Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association. Perhaps, the most anticipated downtown news is that planning is getting underway for the Lamplighter Inn property, recently acquired by Vernal City. Opportunities to share input will soon be available, including an invitation to attend the Lamplighter Public Open House on May 1st from 2 to 6pm to see the plans being developed and to offer your ideas of what would work well in a downtown square.
