Vernal City has provided some information on tiered water pricing ahead of today’s Public Hearing on proposed water rates. “One of the biggest misconceptions about tiered pricing is that reaching a higher tier means all of your water is suddenly billed at that higher rate,” shares the announcement. “That’s not how it works. Water is billed in layers. Only the water used within each tier is charged at that tier’s rate, and those charges are added together to calculate your total bill.” Simply put, you only pay higher rates for higher use. Lower use helps you keep your bill lower. The public hearing on ‘Proposed Tiered Water Rates’ will be held during a Special City Council Meeting today, April 29th, at 6pm at Vernal City Hall. Vernal City encourages community members to attend, ask questions, and share feedback.
