Students of Terra Academy got an early release on Monday afternoon thanks to a water line break that affected the area through much of the afternoon. Vernal City reported that their utilities crew responded to the water line break on 500 South and 1650 West and was able to restore service to most areas east of 1500 West before 1pm. “Our team is continuing work to stabilize the system and equalize water storage tanks following the repair,” shared the afternoon Vernal City announcement. “As pressure returns to the system, some residents may notice stirred-up sediment in their water. While this settles, we recommend using bottled water for drinking until the water clears.” Crews remained on site working to fully restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
