Downtown Vernal is transforming with the South Vernal Avenue and the Cobble Rock projects both advancing. The contractor for the Vernal Avenue project paved last week with concrete work on track to be completed before Holly Days which is taking place the day after Thanksgiving. The contractor for the Cobblerock project will have concrete installed over the next month. Vernal City offered a shout out to the downtown businesses for their patience and resilience during construction and also gave a big thank you to patrons for continuing to support these businesses during construction. Something to look forward to as construction continues next year is a large patio area that will eventually be in place on the Cobblerock project that will include a unique dinosaur shade structure. That aspect of the project is thanks to a T-Mobile Hometown grant for $45,000 that was very competitive with only 25 grants awarded nationwide and over 650 applications.
