Wednesday’s Vernal City Council meeting saw multiple agenda items approved. An annual stipend of $3,600 to appointed board members on the Ashley Valley Sewer Management Board was approved. Ordinance 2026-01 was approved to update and clarify sections of the Business License Code, including when a business is required to obtain a City license. A funding grant agreement with the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity was approved. The $200,000 grant will be used for the Sage Block revitalization plans. The bid was awarded to Condie Construction for the 100 North Water and Sewer Replacement Project. Discussion emphasized the need for clear timelines and keeping projects on track.
