Vernal City Council Amends Ordinances

Vernal City Council approved several amendments to the code and policies during


Wednesday’s


meeting. First, the Council approved the addition of a Hearing Officer to hear appeals associated with employee discipline, noting that this position is more appropriate than having a Council member hear the appeals. The Council also approved the addition of language to provide clarification to the process for pre-disciplinary hearings. Finally, the Council approved an amendment to the code concerning taxi service. The code will now provide an appeals process for taxi cab applicants or licenses.
