Vernal City Council considered and approved a sewer main line connection request during their first meeting of the month. The request came from the Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement Districtto allow the connection of a sewer line located in Esquire Estates to the main city line. Esquire Estates is located outside the city limits but its existing sewer line eventually drops into the city’s 500 south sewer line anyway. Currently the Esquire Estates sewer line is a strain to the pump house maintained by the Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement District and connecting directly with the Vernal City sewer line will alleviate that. The maintenance of the sewer line outside the Vernal City limits will remain the responsibility of the Ashley Valley Water and Sewer Improvement District.
