The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce presented Joe McKea with their Quarterly Outstanding Public Service Award during their luncheon on Tuesday afternoon. Joe has made a career as a Human Resources Director, currently at UELS, and has made a real impact on shaping workplace culture locally. Among his accomplishments, Joe created a county affiliate group for all county HR directors in the state of Utah and provided a forum and activities to assist them in their roles. He prepared multiple presentations to share leadership and HR topics to county elected officials across the state. He was also instrumental in helping the local workforce services office establish and maintain regular educational forums for local businesses focusing on enhancing leadership and operational excellence here in the Basin. Congratulations Joe McKea on this well deserved award!
