Vernal Area Chamber Gives Annual Report

The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce gave their annual report during the Uintah County Commission meeting on Monday. The Chamber estimates their total value to the community is over $504,000 dollars. The Chamber hosted quarterly business seminars which won the Chamber the “Best Engagement Practice” award from the Utah State Chamber while the popular Passport to Summer program was awarded the “Best Community Partnership” award. The Chamber sponsors many events and activities throughout the year to support area businesses and the community. They partnered with other local agencies to sponsor events such as the Roger Brooks Assessment, the Energy Summit, Trees for Charity, Holly Days, Steinaker Ice Fishing Tournament, Basin Bash Baseball Tournament, and the annual Education Summit. 235 teachers and administrators attended the Education Summit, free of charge, with each educator and administrator receiving 8 Continuing Education Credits.
