The Ute Indian Tribe announced Monday the launching of a campaign through the recently founded Ute Indian Tribe Political Action Committee (Ute PAC). The website,

, is running ads on political issues focused on by the tribe. Opposition to Congressman Rob Bishop’s Public Lands Initiative is the primary focus. The Political Action Committee is also circulating a petition that seeks Speaker of the House Paul Ryan to withdraw H.R. 5780. In addition to the website and petition, the campaign is running TV ads against Rob Bishop and the progress being made on the Public Lands Initiative.
