Duchesne County’s Resolution showing formal opposition to Biden’s oil and gas lease ban is receiving praise from the Utah Petroleum Association. The Association’s President made a quick response. “I sincerely appreciate the efforts from the counties, the Governor’s office, our federal delegation and our industry partners to provide much needed support,” shares Association President Rikki Hrenko-Browning. “We have received encouraging feedback about the potential willingness to engage in litigation as a regional effort at the right time. Resolutions such as these help to bolster and maintain that support and are a key part of our joint efforts. From UPA’s side, we will continue to educate as to why this should matter to each and every Utahn.”
