The combination of job experience with a University degree can give a new graduate a leg up when applying for jobs. One USU-Uintah Basin student is counting his blessing for
the internship
he was able to experience this summer. Morgan Larsen worked for the United States Department of Agriculture Wildlife Service as part of the Berryman Institute Scholarship he had received. “
The internship
was my first job in wildlife management,” shares Larsen. “I learned so much and am even more excited about pursuing a career in this field…This experience helped me realize, even more than before, that to make it in this field it takes work: good, honest, hard work.” Larsen’s internship took place over 8 weeks and included a variety of field experience, laboratory work, and round up operations. Larsen is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management through USU-Uintah Basin.
