A USU Uintah Basin Professor is part of a project that could impact Academia nationwide. Dr. David Law is co-editing a handbook titled “Making Connections: A Handbook for Effective Formal Mentoring Programs in Academia”. The handbook will be available to universities across the country to assist in improving their student experience as well as that of Utah State University. According to Law and co-editor Nora Dominguez of the University of New Mexico, this handbook is a needed contribution to the mentoring field in the academic world. The project is currently in the stage of finalizing the recruitment of contributing authors. More information on Dr. Law’s project is available on www.usu.edu/empowerteaching.
