The recent promotion of Vanessa Liesik to director of recruitment for Statewide Campuses and USU Online led leaders of USU Uintah Basin to adjust certain positions to bolster community support. Bob Peterson, Associate Director and Director of Students stated, “We are excited to promote from within and reorganize our resources to provide better support for current students and the community. USU is always changing and evolving to provide the best educational experience for the Uintah Basin and we feel like this change reinforces that.” Kim Rasmussen will move into a new role as an admissions specialist after working as a staff assistant. She will also continue to support local scholarships. Jim LaMuth, who has worked as a paraprofessional program coordinator, will take on the added responsibility of coordinating concurrent enrollment on campus. Tauna Allan, who works as an academic advisor and a student success coordinator, will also take on the added role of working as a campus advisor for the USU Student Association.
