Utah State University – Uintah Basin is bringing progress to more than just the students. Four of its faculty members have been promoted from assistant professor to associate professor with tenure, a jump that doesn’t just happen overnight. History professor Clayton Brown, biology professor Becky Williams, geology professor Ben Burger, and biochemistry professor Mike Christiansen were all promoted by the board of trustees during a meeting on Friday, April 7th. “We are thrilled for these four individuals and I am proud of what it represents for the Uintah Basin campus,” shares USU-UB executive director James Taylor. “The collegial environment of collaboration and support is one thing I feel makes the Uintah Basin campus special and unique.” These professors put in hard, day-to-day work that goes largely unseen, continues Taylor. “The faculty’s dedication to progress in their profession is resulting in a better student experience and a more engaged campus.” Congratulations Clayton Brown, Becky Williams, Ben Burger, and Mike Christiansen, on your promotion.
