A USU Uintah Basin faculty member has been named one of the statewide Adjunct Teachers of the Year. Steve Merrell is an adjunct instructor in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences on the USU Uintah Basin campus and he has been named the USU 2024 Department of English Adjunct Teacher of the Year. Merrell is a Vernal native and Uintah High School graduate who earned a double bachelor’s degree in English and History through USU Uintah Basin before attending graduate school and working as a graduate instructor at the USU Logan campus. “Steven is a deserving recipient of this award,” shares David Law, interim associate vice president for USU Uintah Basin. “He works hard to provide our students with quality instruction. He has been an excellent adjunct teacher in the Department of English, and he is very deserving of this accolade.”
