After soundly beating the Juab Wasps 17-2 to start the 3A tournament, then edging the Richfield Wildcats 9-8 last Thursday at the Spanish Fork Softball Complex, the Union Lady Cougars met up with the 2nd ranked Morgan Trojans. The Cougz fought hard and just barely lost to the Trojans 3-1, sending them to the one-loss bracket.
There, they faced the South Summit Wildcats. Payzlei Parrish smoked a home run and a double with 4 RBIs, but the Cougz fell too far behind and a last inning rally fell short in the 12-6 loss, ending their season.
