The Union Cougar baseball team faced the Grantsville Cowboys on Tuesday in the one-loss bracket of the 3A State tournament.
The Cougars scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but the Cowboys put together a four run second inning and managed to keep ahead of the Cougars down the stretch for the 7-6 victory, ending the Cougs state tourney.
The Cougars out hit the Cowboys by four hits in the effort.
