The Utah Department of Workforce Services has released updated May unemployment numbers for the state and counties. Utah unemployment is at 8.5 percent, down from 10.4 percent in April. Daggett County is at 5 percent unemployment, down from 9 percent in April. Duchesne County is at 11.9 percent unemployment, down from 12.7 percent in April. Uintah County is at 13.4 percent unemployment, down from 15.9 percent in April. Nationally, unemployment for May is reported at 13.3 percent, down from 14.7 percent in April.
