State wrestling is on this weekend and the Uintah Boys Wrestling Team is pursuing a 6th consecutive state championship. Great news has already come in ahead of the competition as the Uintah coach has been given special recognition. Uintah High Boys Wrestling Coach Phillip Keddy has been selected as a 2025–2026 Gold Star Coach by the Utah High School Activities Association. “Keddy was recognized for his outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and positive impact on student-athletes,” shares Uintah High Athletics. “As a Gold Star Coach, he is now under consideration for statewide recognition in the 4A classification. The UHSAA Sportsmanship Committee will announce the state level winners in April.” Congratulations Coach Keddy and good luck to all the wrestlers this weekend!
