It was an excellent weekend in the pool for the Uintah High Boys Swim Team who captured the 2025 Mel Roberts Invitational team title in Tooele. The boys team won by 114.5 points over the second-place Emery Spartans. The girls’ team had an excellent day in the pool as well, finishing second overall, just 29 points behind Emery. “What we saw in the pool this weekend was nothing short of incredible,” shares Uintah head coach Jared Bigler. “In 50 individual races, our swimmers achieved 34 personal records! It was an amazing team effort by both our boys and our girls.” An especially exciting moment during the competition came when Uintah’s Alexander Spainhower set a new pool record when he took 1st place in the 50 Freestyle. Uintah High Athletics shares that Spainhower’s time of 21.84 was just .01 second off the school record time he set during a region meet on November 1st. Congratulations to Alexander Spainhower and the entire Uintah Swim Team on a successful weekend!
