Ten Uintah High students competed at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Layton last month and several have qualified for National competition this summer. FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and is a national organization for students participating in Family and Consumer Science educational classes. Three Uintah students earned gold medals at the state competition and seven earned silver medals. Addilyn Foley and Ashley Caldwell qualified to compete at the National Convention in Orlando, Florida, in July while Ruby Glazier is an alternate for Nationals. Addilyn Foley earned a silver medal in Early Childhood Education while Ashley Caldwell earned a gold medal in Fashion Construction.
