Uintah School District Hires Student Services Director

The new Student Services Director for Uintah School District is no stranger to education in the Uintah Basin. The Uintah School Board approved the hiring of Dr. Dean Wilson as the upcoming Student Services Director. Dr. Wilson’s career in education includes years as a teacher in Duchesne County School District, at one point being named Teacher of the Year at Roosevelt Junior High School. In the Duchesne County School District, he has served as an assistant principal, principal, and director of student services. Following his time with the Duchesne County School District, Dr. Wilson worked for UBTech as the vice president of student services and he is currently the executive director for Terra Academy. Wilson is also the co-founder of a 501(c)(3) dedicated to suicide prevention called You Got This. Dr. Wilson will start in his new position on July 1st following the retirement of current Student Services Director Julie Wilde.
