Uintah School District reminds all to apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits with their local school to find out if students qualify for P-EBT. P-EBT, which stands for Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer, has helped individuals purchase food if their children have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price meals from COVID-related emergencies, or other COVID-related school absences during the 2021-2022 school year. One of the qualifiers for P-EBT for next school year is to be signed up for free or reduced-price school meals, which needs to happen no later than May 6th. The 2021-22 school year saw all students able to receive one free breakfast and lunch. This opportunity does not mean that your students will be automatically given free-reduced status and in turn qualified for P-EBT. To determine the free-reduced status of a student, individuals must apply through their school.
