Nominations have come in for the talented actors of Uintah High Theatre. Their fall production of ‘The Percy Jackson Musical’ is the first of two musicals the group is entering this school year to be adjudicated at a state level and the judges have announced their nominations for the group. Benson Baumgarten, who played Percy Jackson, is nominated for Best Actor; Olivia Christensen is nominated for Best Actress, Cade Marshall is nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Cecilia Benjamin is nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and Shayna Cook is nominated for Cameo. “We are very proud of these kids nominated for The Lightning Thief, and also for all of the outstanding performers in the show,” shares Director Chris Piner. “The judges clearly liked the show. Our post-show feedback from them was very promising.” The hard working Uintah High Theatre team are soaking up a little time off before they launch into preparation for their spring production of ‘Something Rotten!’
