The Uintah Health Care Special Service District recently provided a district report to local county and city officials. District Executive Director Wayne Dunbar reported that the Care Center currently has 11 rehabilitation patients and 53 residents, totalling 64 while the care center is capable of housing up to 96 residents. The budget for the District is $10 million dollars and some discussion was held about the budget reporting that last December the District was budgeted to lose $1.8 million dollars but was adjusted so that now it is on track to lose $350,000 to $500,000 dollars. Commissioner Brad Horrocks stated that the staff has worked hard to make cuts and bring costs down. Dunbar also reported on the Golden Age Center stating that they service 100 meals on wheels per day
Monday through Friday
. The center has 60 computers that provide the elderly with the opportunity for brain exercise. The local officials thanked Mr. Dunbar for his report.
