Uintah Girls Wrestling Team Wins 4A Division A Title

It’s been a great week of competition for Uintah athletes. The Uintah High Girls Wrestling Team won the 4A Division A title at Crimson Cliff’s High on Thursday, qualifying 22 wrestlers for state with three more Utes serving as state alternates. 

Uintah High Athletics shared the great news, reporting that Uintah finished the two-day tournament 10 points ahead of the Bear River High Bears, the defending 4A state champions. Uintah Champions include Kinzy McCauley, Leena Sharp, Sadie Rhoades, and Pepper Streight and 2nd place finishers include Gracie Gardiner, Kenna McCauley, Abigail Turner and McKinlee Collett. There were many more Ute podium finishers. The 4A girls state wrestling tournament is scheduled for February 13th and 14th in Orem.
