The Utes Girls Wrestling Team battled hard and finished 3rd in the 4A State Tournament at UVU in Orem this weekend. Uintah earned 189.5 team points while Mountain Crest in 2nd had 225.5 points, and 1st place Bear River had 303 team points. Uintah’s Sadie Rhoades and Leena Sharp each won individual state titles. Sharp looks to have a great high school career ahead of her having finished her freshman season undefeated with a record of 47-0 and a state champion. For Rhoades, it was her second state crown. Kenna McCauley and Issa Laamouri each finished 2nd in their respective classifications. Congratulations to the individual champions and the entire team on their 3rd place finish at state.
