Plans for a fire station/Community Center in Tridell are coming together. The Uintah Fire District announced on Friday that CIB funding has been awarded for the project in the amount of a $2,973,000 dollar grant and a 0.5 percent 30-year loan of $500,000 dollars. According to the announcement, the Uintah Fire District is excited to receive the funding and begin the project as soon as possible. “We are excited to bring this much needed complex to Tridell and the west side of the county,” shares Chairman of the Fire Board, Brian Gorum. The District shares that the next step will be to secure the bond and find an engineer and contractor for the project through the request for proposal process. Lapoint/Tridell fire chief Tyler McKee stated that the department is really excited about this much needed facility that will serve both present and future needs and growth of Uintah County. The Fire District offers special thanks to the Community Impact Board, Uintah Fire District Board members, Sunrise Engineering, Uintah County Library/Uintah County Commission, Lapoint/Tridell Fire Department and Community.
