Uintah High DECA stood out again this year at the annual DECA State Conference and has once again been named the Utah DECA Chapter of the Year. This is the second year in a row and third time in 8 years that Uintah DECA has received this accolade. Over 1500 high school DECA members compete at the state conference and an incredible 25 students from Uintah High DECA qualified for the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in April. First place winners from Uintah DECA were Isaac Abrams and Bridger Christensen as the Buying & Merchandising Team; and Julia Sagers, Kate Jolley and Thalia Nelson for their Business Growth Plan. Second place winners were Jaevry Elison, Ava Haslem and Eliza Averett for their Community Awareness Project; and Julia Sagers, Kate Jolley and Thalia Nelson for their Start-Up Business Plan. Many other Uintah DECA team members placed in the top 6 and are also eligible to compete at Nationals.
