With 2025 wrapping up, Uintah County has shared a snapshot of one of the offerings that was new to Uintah County this year. The Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata welcomed its first guests and here’s the data collected for the pilot season: 628 climbers signed waivers; 105 different zip codes represented 15 states, including Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, Montana, Missouri, and Utah; 553 were from somewhere in Utah, including 277 Uintah County residents; and 71 people came back for a second visit. Of the visitors, there were 96 youth age 17 and under, 109 young adults ages 18 to 28, 140 visitors ages 29 to 39, 176 visitors ages 40 to 50, 83 visitors ages 51 to 61, and 24 visitors ages 61 and older.
