Uintah County Traffic Stop Ends In Arrest For Meth And Prohibited Weapon

A traffic stop conducted on a vehicle with a Colorado license plate ended in arrest on May 29th in Uintah County. The Affidavit of Probable Cause states that during the stop, a records check of the vehicle VIN showed the vehicle registration had expired, and there was no insurance associated with the vehicle. A records check also showed the license of the driver, Holly Lynn Accord, was suspended out of Colorado. A K9 was deployed for an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The canine positively indicated to the odor of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle. Deputies located a black bag behind the driver’s seat containing a large quantity of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Deputies also located drug paraphernalia throughout the vehicle, including a glass bong, digital scale, plastic baggie with residue, and more. A handgun holster was located adjacent to the driver’s seat, and a handgun wrapped in clothing was located on the passenger seat within Holly’s reach. A handgun magazine was located on Holly’s person. 40-year-old Holly Lynn Accord was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Prohibited Dangerous Weapon Conduct as well as drug charges.
