Depending on the day and the time, Highway 40 can have long lines of vehicles making their way about and through the towns along the way. This can slow things down at times and require an added measure of patience as vehicles large and small share the road. On Monday, the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office offered a friendly and timely safety reminder for Basin drivers. “The rules of the road apply to vehicles big and small,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “Please be considerate of other drivers and obey all lane markings and traffic signs. Also remember, large commercial vehicles require greater distances to stop, especially when they’re loaded. They have larger blind spots, too. Please pass with care and avoid stopping abruptly in front of them. We want everyone to reach their destinations safely.”
