Uintah County has requested public feedback as they work on the Uintah County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. “Uintah County, in partnership with surrounding communities, is preparing a county-wide comprehensive transportation safety action plan,” shares the announcement. “The plan will analyze transportation safety needs, identify high-risk locations and factors contributing to crashes, and prioritize strategies to address them.” An interactive map and survey is available where all are invited to share feedback on roadway safety in Uintah County. “If you walk, bike, drive, or roll anywhere in the County, we would like your input,” shares Uintah County. “Your feedback will help identify community needs and areas where safety improvements will enhance the transportation system. How do you typically move around the County? What or where are the issues you encounter? What are some ideas you may have to improve safety?” Comments can be placed directly onto the interactive map using icons labeled Vehicle Safety, Bicycle Safety, Pedestrian Safety, and Other. Workshops will be held in the spring to present the findings and receive further input from the public. Visit uintahsafetyplan.com to view and add comments to the interactive map.
