The Uintah County Commission and Uintah County Treasurer issued a reminder this week to residents that annual Property Tax Notices have been mailed and are due by December 1st. “The total amount shown on your tax notice includes rates from multiple taxing entities—not just Uintah County,” shares the announcement. “These entities include the Uintah School District, Central Utah Water Conservancy District, municipalities, and various other taxing jurisdictions. This year, property owners will notice an overall increase in the School District levy (which is not set or managed by Uintah County) and an increase in the Central Utah Water Conservancy District rate. Uintah County’s role is to collect and distribute property tax revenue to each of these entities. The County only sets the rate for its own portion of the tax.” Payments can be made by mail, online by visiting uintah.gov and clicking ‘Pay Taxes’, or in person at the Uintah County Treasurer’s Office during regular business hours.
