An early morning ER visit resulted in arrest after officers gathered multiple witness statements to the incident resulting in injury. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers responded to Ashley Regional Medical Center on a call for service for domestic violence as the victim was being treated in the ER. Multiple witnesses described a situation in which the victim was picked up by the neck area and pushed/thrown, resulting in the victim’s head hitting the bumper of a truck causing significant blood loss. The officer observed signs consistent with the witness statements. Probable cause was found to arrest 38-year-old Danon Shane Parker who was eventually located at his place of employment. Parker is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury and is being held without bail.
