Uintah County Library Director Sam Passey attended the Uintah County Commission meeting on Monday to present information on a grant contract. While there he shared a few statistics about activity at the library and the numbers really speak for themselves. The Uintah County Library has hosted just under 600 events this year with an average of 22 people per event and total attendance just under 15,000 attendees. That does not include statistics of those checking out items. “Many have known the library for years and years,” shared Passey. “We are increasingly becoming a thriving community center and we really enjoy working in cooperation with 4H, rec district, and other county and city agencies…We appreciate the opportunity to be downtown and help be a vibrant spot in the community.” Passey thanked all for their support in making the library a part of their lives.
