The Uintah County Republican Party Central Committee announced Tuesday evening the appointment of Mark Caldwell to fill the vacancy of Uintah County Treasurer. The announcement shared that “eleven committee members from diverse backgrounds, experiences, professions, and perspectives came together with a shared commitment to identify the candidate they believed would best serve the people of this county.” The appointment of Mark Caldwell concludes the vacancy process and the Committee asks citizens to join in supporting Treasurer Caldwell as he assumes the responsibilities of the office. "We recognize that not everyone will agree with the outcome," said Committee Chair Kason Goodrich. "However, I can say with complete confidence that our Committee members approached this responsibility with seriousness, humility, and a sincere desire to do what was best for our county. They listened, they researched, they deliberated, and they prayed for guidance. The final decision reflects the collective judgment of a group of dedicated community members who worked diligently to fulfill the duty entrusted to them."
