Uintah County Emergency Management shared on Tuesday that a Winter Storm Watch has been put into effect and areas of the region are primed for some snow, at least in the mountains. According to their announcement, the storm watch will be in effect from late Wednesday night through Friday morning. All can expect heavy snow with total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible and wind gusts as high as 35 mph in the Eastern Uinta Mountains and Tavaputs Plateau. Please remember that travel may be very difficult and patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, especially on ridge tops.
