Uintah County held their Election Audit on Tuesday ahead of their Election Canvass being held today. The provisional ballots and cured ballots were added to the count and in the case of the close Uintah County Commission Seat B race, the results remain the same with Joe McKea receiving 5 more votes than Danny Harrell. The Uintah County website election page reports that there were 12 provisional ballots received and 54 ballots challenged that voters had the opportunity to come to the Clerk Auditor Office to have cured. The final count after those ballots were added was 2,437 votes for Joe McKea and 2,432 votes for Danny Harrell. The Election Audit is happening today at 11am in the Uintah County Commission Large Conference Room. The Board of Canvassers will review the results in order to certify the outcome of the 2026 Primary Election. Under Utah State Code 20A-4-401, Danny Harrell may file a request for recount of the ballots.
