The Ashley Valley Food Pantry was the focus of an agenda item during the Uintah County Commission meeting this week. The Uintah County Commission reviewed a reimbursement contract with the Uintah Basin Association of Governments for the Ashley Valley Food Pantry project. The food pantry will be moved from its current location to the UBAOG building in Naples purchased for the BTA buses. Uintah County was awarded $150,000 from the Uintah Basin Revitalization Board for the food pantry project to make the building also usable as the food pantry. Uintah County receives allocations every year from the Revitalization Board and this funding will reimburse UBAOG up to $150,000 for the needed work on this project. The Commission approved the reimbursement contract between Uintah County and the Uintah Basin Association of Governments. A more detailed report on the move of the Ashley Valley Food Pantry to the new location and how the community can help will be shared next week by Evans Family Media and BasinNow.
