A celebration of the ‘World of Words’ is bringing together local reading and writing enthusiasts. Terry Hane is the brains behind the event happening Saturday at the Uintah County Library. “It was just a zany idea I had while helping my friend with her book signings,” shares Terry. “What if we gathered other authors in the area and brought them together for one event and welcomed the community to join us.” While Terry knew there were other published authors in the Uintah Basin she was shocked by the response she received. She obtained the names of 17 authors, 9 of whom will be in attendance at Saturday’s event and others who hope to be available to attend future events. The list of authors include Oranna Felter (pen name RanDee RedWillow), Myke Hall, Joe Jessup, Nikki Kitchen, Veronica Lawson, Emily Lemon, Jessica Prather, Nathaniel Searle, Bethany Wiggins, and Doris Burton. The free event is this Saturday and will run from 1 to 5pm at the Uintah County Library. There will be a drawing for a book of the winner’s choice and throughout the afternoon the authors will do readings from their works.
